The single was published in 2015, when she was 19 years old. It was a hugely acclaimed track by critics as well as fans. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was born on July 11th, 1996 to parents of Italian descent. When she was 10 years old, her parents bought her a guitar that became the foundation of her love for music. At the age of 13, she started covering songs she liked on YouTube in order to show her fans that she was a talented artist and was able to pursue a career as musician. Indeed, one of her cover songs Sweater Weather is the track which got her attention by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to create as well as record herself songs.
