In 2015 at 19 she debuted her first single, Here. It received lots of praise and was well-received both by critics and listeners. It peaked at number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it one of the most memorable songs of 2015. In the same year, she released her debut album Know It All, the song Scars to Your Beautiful ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It also was one of the original five songs. In her interview with Rap-Up fans discussed Cara's self-love journey and the doubts she faced. Cara is known for her messages on mental health, kindness and self-love into her music. The inspiration for her music stems from her personal struggles to overcome mental health problems and insomnia. In a Reuters' interview, she has described her album half tumultuous however, it is half finished. The growth of her career was helped through therapy. She advises other people, if needed, to reach out for assistance. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. She was given a guitar from her parents at the time she was 10 years old, which sparked her passion for music. In 2013, she performed some of her most loved songs on YouTube which is a well-known media platform. It was done to show that she had the ability and the confidence to be an artist. One of her covers, Sweater Weather, was the one that got her attention. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and compose her own music.
