Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th, 1967. Julia Fiona Roberts is the fourth generation Roberts living in Atlanta. The Robertses' father was interested in theater from a young time. When he was a student in Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University as well as in other parts of Atlanta. He joined the Air Force in 1953 and, while working in Biloxi Mississippi was cast in a military production that included Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in Air Force. They got married in the year 1955 and the couple's first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana after leaving the Airforce in 1957. The family relocated in 1960 into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show that was aimed at children, named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture they self-financed. They established an Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year, which ran for 6 years. Lelisa Billingsley who is also referred to as Lisa was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
