Julia Fiona Roberts, born on October 28, 1967, in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is part of the Robertses' fourth generation that reside in the Atlanta area, starting in the family of her grand-father John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father took keen interest from a young age in the theatre. He acted on his Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions in Atlanta. When he joined the Air Force and appearing in an air force production in Biloxi along with Betty Lou Bredemus. The couple got married in 2005 and they had their first baby, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter along with his wife left the Air Force in the year 1957 and enrolled Walter as a student at Tulane University. Walter became a member of Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio after the family relocated from Atlanta to Decatur, Georgia in 1960. In 1964, Walter as well as Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning TV show known as Bum Bum and His Buddies which they funded by on their own. The Actors and Writers Workshop was created in the year 1964 and ran for six years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) during this period.
